Non-Conference
The Jaguars tip off the new season on Nov. 3 in the MAC-SBC Challenge, traveling to take on Toledo. Just three days later, South Alabama returns to Mobile for their home opener against Alcorn State, then hosting Spring Hill on Nov. 8.
South Alabama then heads to Florida for the Showdown in St. Pete, where they’ll face Central Michigan and Coppin State. After that neutral-site event, the Jaguars stay on the road but return to Alabama to take on Jacksonville State (Nov. 19) and UAB (Nov. 21), two regional opponents that will provide a test for the Jags.
After a nine-day Thanksgiving break, the Jaguars travel to UTSA on Nov. 30 in San Antonio before continuing their road-heavy stretch at East Tennessee State on Dec. 5. They finally return home after another nine-day break, hosting North Texas on Dec. 14 in what is one of the most intriguing non-conference games.
South Alabama rounds out its non-conference slate with a pair of home games. They host Mobile on Dec. 29, and a MAC opponent in early February in the second leg of the MAC-SBC Challenge.
Conference
South Alabama opens Sun Belt play on the road, starting with ULM on Dec. 17 and Texas State on Dec. 20. They stay on the road for New Year’s Eve, taking on Louisiana, before heading to rival Troy four days later.
The Jaguars finally return home for an important three-game stretch, hosting Georgia Southern (Jan. 10), Arkansas State (Jan. 15), and Louisiana (Jan. 17). This could be a vital stretch at home, as most of their games before this are on the road.
South Alabama then heads north for a tough two-game road trip, visiting James Madison (Jan. 22) and Marshall (Jan. 24). They then return home to close out January with games against Coastal Carolina (Jan. 29) and Georgia State (Jan. 31).
Before the MAC-SBC Challenge, the Jaguars travel to Boone to take on App State on Feb. 4. After the break from conference play, South Alabama will once again hit the road for back-to-back games at Southern Miss (Feb. 12) and Arkansas State (Feb. 14).
The Jaguars finish the regular season in Mobile with a huge four-game home stretch. They’ll host Texas State (Feb. 19), Troy (Feb. 21), ULM (Feb. 25), and Southern Miss (Feb. 27). This stretch could determine where the Jags finish in conference play.
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will take place Mar. 3–9 in Pensacola, Florida, where South Alabama will look to make a push toward a NCAA Tournament bid.
South Alabama’s 2025–26 schedule provides a balance of challenges, including multiple road trips early in the year and a late-season homestand that could swing their postseason hopes. Their ability to win away from home will be crucial in the hopes of going dancing.
