Non-Conference
Like every Sun Belt team, Troy opens the season on the road in the MAC-SBC Challenge, taking on Kent State on Nov. 3. The Trojans will stay on the road later that week, traveling to Furman on Nov. 7.
Troy will make their home-debut on Nov. 11, taking on Pensacola Christian. They’ll then head on a long road trip to the West Coast, facing LMU (Nov. 14), CSU Northridge (Nov. 16), San Diego State (Nov. 18), and USC (Nov. 20). This will be one of the hardest stretches of any schedule in the conference.
The Trojans continue their challenging non-conference slate with a MTE in Florida over Thanksgiving week, where they’ll face Toledo and either Belmont or Saint Francis.
After several weeks away from home, Troy returns to Trojan Arena on Dec. 1 to host West Georgia, followed by a matchup against LaGrange on Dec. 6. They’ll then go on a short road trip to UAB on Dec. 14, a nationally televised contest on ESPN2.
Troy’s final non-conference matchup will come in early February as part of the return leg of the MAC-SBC Challenge.
Conference
Conference play will kick off at home for the Trojans, as Troy hosts Marshall on Dec. 20. The Trojans will stay home through the new year, welcoming Texas State on New Year’s Eve and in-state rival South Alabama on Jan. 3.
Troy’s first conference road trip comes shortly after, as they visit Arkansas State (Jan. 7) and Louisiana (Jan. 10). The following week, they return home to face Southern Miss and Arkansas State.
The Trojans then head on another road trip, taking on Old Dominion (Jan. 21) and Georgia Southern (Jan. 24) before closing out the month with back-to-back home games, hosting James Madison and App State.
February opens with a trip to Atlanta to take on Georgia State (Feb. 4), followed by their home game against a MAC opponent as part of the MAC-SBC Challenge. Coming out of that matchup, Troy hits the road again, visiting Texas State (Feb. 11) and Southern Miss (Feb. 14).
The Trojans will play their final two road games against ULM (Feb. 18) and South Alabama (Feb. 21), before closing the regular season at home, where the welcome Louisiana Feb. 24 and ULM on Feb. 27.
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will once again be held Mar. 3–9 in Pensacola, Florida, where Troy will look to go back-to-back as tournament champions.
Troy’s schedule leaves no room for comfort, with heavy travel and a tough conference slate. However, coach Cross did that for a reason. If they can survive the tough non-conference schedule, they will position themselves for another deep postseason run.
