After a tough season last year, Louisiana looks to build a new team under new head Coach Quannas White. He has overhauled the roster, bringing in highly ranked freshmen, and important transfers to start the new era.

Non-Conference
Louisiana opens its season on the road with a MAC-SBC Challenge matchup against Ball State on Nov. 3 in Muncie, Indiana. The Cajuns return to Lafayette for their home opener against Southeastern Louisiana on Nov. 7. A few days later, Tulane comes to the Cajundome on Nov. 11
That’s followed by the team’s longest road stretch of the non-conference slate, as the Cajuns travel to McNeese State (Nov. 14) before heading west to take on Stanford (Nov. 18), Santa Clara (Nov. 21), and UC Davis (Nov. 24) in a long California trip.
The Cajuns return home to close out November, hosting Jackson State on Nov. 28. They’ll hit the road once again to start December with a game at Lamar.
On Dec. 6, Louisiana welcomes CAA favorite UNCW to the Cajundome for one of their most intriguing non-conference matchups. The Cajuns then travel north to face Louisiana Tech on Dec. 13, a future conference opponent
The non-conference slate wraps up with Norfolk State visiting Lafayette on Dec. 28, and a MAC opponent in early February for the second leg of the MAC-SBC Challenge.
Conference
The Ragin’ Cajuns kick off Sun Belt play on the road, facing Southern Miss (Dec. 18) and ULM (Dec. 20) before returning home to close out the year against South Alabama on New Year’s Eve.
Louisiana kicks off 2026 at home, hosting Southern Miss again on Jan. 3 in their first game of the new year. They then host ULM (Jan. 8) and Troy (Jan. 10), giving fans plenty of chances to check out the team in conference play.
The Cajuns then head on the road for a tough three-game stretch — traveling to Texas State (Jan. 14), South Alabama (Jan. 17), and App State (Jan. 22) before ending the trip with Old Dominion (Jan. 24).
The Cajuns close out January taking on both conference schools in Georgia, with Georgia State on Jan. 29, and Georgia Southern on Jan. 31.
The Cajuns open February on the road at James Madison (Feb. 4) before their MAC-SBC Challenge game. After that, they host Coastal Carolina (Feb. 14) and Arkansas State (Feb. 17), continuing their strong home schedule. Texas State then visits on Feb. 21, marking the last home game of the season.
The Cajuns finish the season on the road, facing Troy (Feb. 24) and Arkansas State (Feb. 27) before heading to Pensacola for the Sun Belt Tournament on Mar. 3-9.
With a mix of high-level non-conference matchups and key Sun Belt rivalries, Louisiana’s 2025–26 schedule provides plenty of opportunities to prove that they belong back near the top of the conference standings.
